We don't collect personal information about you. There's no account to create, no analytics, and your game lives on your phone. The one exception is the optional reward videos: they're supplied by Google AdMob, which receives some device data to serve them. That's explained below.
Everything the game remembers is kept locally on your iPhone and never sent anywhere:
The browser version at pgaming.app/play works the same way: your progress is kept in that browser's own storage, and it shows no ads at all.
Deleting WordSwoop removes all of it. Nothing is backed up to us, because there is no "us" — the game has no server.
Game Center is Apple's service, and using it is entirely optional. If you are signed in on your device, Apple provides the game with your Game Center nickname and player identifier so it can greet you by name and post your scores to the WordSwoop leaderboards.
During a battle, the other player sees your Game Center nickname and your score as it climbs. That is all that travels between devices: a board and a score. There is no chat, and no personal information of any kind is exchanged.
If you choose to share a challenge link, the link itself carries the board, your score, and your Game Center nickname (or "A friend" if you aren't signed in), so whoever opens it can see whose score they're chasing. Nothing is sent unless you share it.
Anything held inside Game Center itself — your leaderboard entries and friend connections — is handled by Apple under Apple's Privacy Policy, not by us. You can sign out of Game Center at any time in iOS Settings, and the rest of the game keeps working.
From version 1.4.0, you can choose to watch a short video to earn an extra powerup. These videos are supplied by Google AdMob, Google's advertising service. WordSwoop never shows ads you didn't ask for: there are no banners and no ads that interrupt play.
So that a video is ready when you want one, the app asks AdMob for one in the background after it starts. When it does, Google's software in the app may collect:
Google uses this to deliver the videos, measure them, and prevent fraud. WordSwoop asks for non-personalized ads only, so ads aren't chosen based on a profile of your interests. We never receive this data ourselves. AdMob only gives us totals, such as how many videos were watched.

Delete the app to erase everything stored on your device. To remove leaderboard scores, manage your Game Center account through iOS Settings or Apple's privacy portal. For data held by Google, see the Google Privacy Policy linked above.
If this policy ever changes, the date at the top of the page changes with it.
