Privacy Policy

Last updated 19 August 2026

WordSwoop collects nothing about you. There is no account to create, no analytics, no advertising, and no third-party trackers. Your game lives on your phone.

What the game stores on your device

Everything the game remembers is kept locally on your iPhone and never sent anywhere:

Deleting WordSwoop removes all of it. Nothing is backed up to us, because there is no "us" — the game has no server.

Game Center

Game Center is Apple's service, and using it is entirely optional. If you are signed in on your device, Apple provides the game with your Game Center nickname and player identifier so it can greet you by name and post your scores to the WordSwoop leaderboards.

During a battle, the other player sees your Game Center nickname and your score as it climbs. That is all that travels between devices: a board and a score. There is no chat, and no personal information of any kind is exchanged.

Anything held inside Game Center itself — your leaderboard entries and friend connections — is handled by Apple under Apple's Privacy Policy, not by us. You can sign out of Game Center at any time in iOS Settings, and the rest of the game keeps working.

What the game never does

Children

WordSwoop is a word game suitable for all ages. It collects no personal information from anyone, children included, and shows no advertising.

Removing your data

Delete the app to erase everything stored on your device. To remove leaderboard scores, manage your Game Center account through iOS Settings or Apple's privacy portal.

Changes to this policy

If this policy ever changes, the date at the top of the page changes with it. Since the game collects nothing, we expect updates to be rare.
